Worship & Music

…be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

(Ephesians 5:18-20, NIV)

In June of this year, people from all over the United States will gather as the body of Christ for a weekend defined by community and togetherness. The “Together Conference” (June 26-28) will be filled with opportunities for deep and meaningful connection, increased discipleship, spiritual enlightenment, and God-honoring worship.

As a foundation for this intentional worship, music will play a central role. From the opening worship event led by Matt Maher on Friday evening through the divine service experience on Sunday, we will be putting Paul’s encouragement to “speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit” into practice as a community of faith.

It is our hope that you’ll join us within this community, and for this event, and that you’ll be inspired to engage your musical gifts to ascribe glory to His name (Psalm 29:2).

To this end, please find information below related to the ensembles that can be joined specific to the divine service experience on Sunday, June 28.

Ensemble Information

There will be three ensembles for this conference: a National Choir, a National Orchestra, and a National Children’s Choir.

The National Choir is open to all adult singers as well as all youth ages 14-17 (8th Grade-Seniors in High School). Music for this mass choir will be comprised of traditional, well-known hymns and “tried-and-true” modern hymns. If you didn’t express your interest in singing in the choir during the registration process but you’d like to participate, please email Marcus Jauss at marcus.jauss@nac-usa.org with your name, email, and voice part.

The National Orchestra is open to all adult players as well as any children and youth with experience, musicality, and an ability to focus for multiple hours in rehearsal. The orchestra will play several stand-alone pieces and also serve to accompany choir and congregational singing. If you didn’t express your interest in playing in the orchestra during the registration process but you’d like to participate, please email Brad Gerken at brad.gerken@gmail.com with your name, email, instrument(s) played, and years of experience.

The National Children’s Choir is open to any young singers ages 8-13 (Grades 3-7). This choir will sing a couple of stand-alone songs for the divine service on Sunday and will also help lead the congregation in worship. To express interest in having your child participate, please see the National Children’s Choir Interest Form here.
